This is already the largest single-country personnel deployment in global Red Cross history. The number of emergency response teams in or en route to Haiti equals those that responded to the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami – an emergency that spanned 14 countries.

Red Cross Seeks French and Creole-Speaking Volunteers to Assist with Haiti Relief Efforts

The American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania (SEPA) Chapter is looking to recruit a minimum of 50 French and Creole-speaking individuals to assist with Haiti relief efforts. Once the individuals are trained and registered, they will be added to the Red Cross database for local service or possible deployment.

We are on call 24/7 to provide emergency relief and follow-up care for victims of disaster. We also assist military families through the SAF program. All emergency services are free of charge.
